Book Writing Help – Reasons you might get
stuck |
 |
 |
| |
|
There are very few writers, if any, that can actually
start and finish writing a book
without hitting hurdles. There are numerous stumbling
points where people need book
writing help, and most of these are encountered
by most writers. Our book writing
software program has been specifically designed
to help you overcome these common obstacles, which can
include:
Flat Characters. An interesting character will define
a book. If your characters seem dull, flat and one dimensional
(i.e they’re not convincingly real) then you may
need help with this part of your book
writing. To generate a more animated character
you will generally need to describe their attributes
with real breadth and depth. Believable human attributes
can take various forms - hopes and dreams, physical
appearance, particular dislikes and so on. The more
believable and rounded these attributes, the more real
a character will appear. Our Book
writing software can help by guiding
you through the development of characters, storing the
description of each character and their attributes in
a manner that is easy to follow and stored in the same
file that you write your story.
Unconvincing Dialogue. One of the most common problems
novelists face in their book
writing attempts. Think about what you have written
as dialogue. Would someone really say that? –
or are you making your character say such things simply
to move the plot ahead. Writing is always a balance between quality and quantity. Dialogue
is one of the areas where less can sometimes be more!
A simple tip that can overcome problems with building
dialogue – albeit one which will take time - is
to research. Conduct research on real-world conversation
studying closely how people talk. Then research other
books – how do successful authors integrate dialogue
in their writing. Hopefully
these two tips should help to some degree with your
writing and you can turn
the corner on your dreams on becoming published.

Information about NewNovelist:
|
|
Creative writing and learning
how to write a novel can
be exceptionally hard. First, you have to learn the
basics, then you have to practice….and practice…and
practice. And you also have to research what makes a
successful novel. The vast majority of novels adopt
a basic formula, and we incorporate these within NewNovelist.
Whilst throughout these additional information pages
we have provided tips and “how-to” advice,
the real gold dust is in our software program (available
on CD or to download). It is based on tuition from the
leading university Creative Writing
course in England (University of East Anglia), and uses
templates to provide you with the structure you might
otherwise spend years researching. These templates can
teach you the basics to writing
all different types of novel: crime, mystery, detective,
fantasy, childrens, thrillers, military and many many
more. In short, it provides you with a virtual tutor.
In addition to the template structure, there is context
sensitive help available – advising you on timing,
tone and beat – and scores of examples drawn from
modern and classical literature. For beginners this
will be a revelation. For more experienced writers it
provides a welcome refresher.
Whatever your standard of writing,
and whatever your motivation, if you want an all-in-one
writing course, advice,
tutor, editor and note taker you should buy NewNovelist
today.
