Corrupt
files starting up on Vista?
We have had some reports of the software not starting
up correctly, and reporting that some of the initialisation
files may have become corrupt, with computers running
Microsoft Vista. This is due to the User Account Control
being turned off for the logged on user account. To fix
this, please go to the User Accounts window in the Control
Panel and make the selection to Turn on User Account Control
(UAC).

Is
there a word count facility ?
No, but due to demand, we will be looking to provide
this shortly.

How
can I maximize the notes box at the bottom of the right
hand panel, when using the Research and Ideas function
?
At present there is no facility to resize the notes
box, although it is possible to scroll inside it to
any length. The notes box was only really designed for
small reminder type notes, but if you want to add detailed
notes, we suggest you use Word or Notepad to write/cut
and paste into. Save the file in that program and then
add this resulting file using the Add New File Shortcut
in the Research and Ideas section of Newnovelist 2.
Then with one click you can open this file to use it.
Due to demand, we will be looking at making the Notes
sizeable in a subsequent service pack.

Can
I copy and paste from the notes box, at the bottom of
the right hand panel when using the Research and Ideas
function, into the main editor ?
Yes you can by right mouse clicking in the notes box
and selecting the copy menu option. Then right mouse
click in the main editor and select paste. When doing
this the Right hand panel will close when you select
the main editor, as the software believes you want to
start writing here again.
